The Shih Tzu originated in China where it is the smallest of the Tibetan holy dogs. Nicknames include the lion dog and the chrysanthemum dog due to its unique face. Shih Tzus are known for being gregarious, full of energy and smart. They are very confident and require lots of attention from their owners.
